Simply find a tiny geode in Mexico, cut it in half and polish, drill so that the halves hang from sterling silver leverback ear wires. Earthy and at the same time, sparkly. The drop itself is 22mm in length, strung on sterling silver wire. These stones are dark green centered with layers of red and then white crystals, very pretty.

To make these earring dangles, I employed a technique called “metal clay”. I used finely-ground pure silver mixed with a binder so that the material could be sculpted, then kiln-fired to burn off the binder, leaving only silver behind. Fine silver is as close as possible to 100% pure, as opposed to sterling silver, which is 7.75% copper and 92.5% silver.
