Bronze Bolo Tie with Apatite

To make this bronze bolo slider, I employed a technique called “metal clay”. I used finely-ground bronze (an alloy of tin and copper) mixed with a binder so that the material could be sculpted, then kiln-fired to burn off the binder, leaving only bronze behind. The part that cradles the stone is made of copper.

The leather will always benefit from some leather cream. You can buff up the highlights on the bronze with a polishing cloth. Leather does not take well to water, so please don’t wear this in the shower or swimming.
