These leaves are handmade of bronze and hung from gold-filled leverback ear wires. Because they are made one at a time, the leaf vein imprint will vary slightly. The leaf itself is 2.8cm in length.

To make these earring dangles, I employed a technique called “metal clay”. I used finely-ground bronze (an alloy of tin and copper) mixed with a binder so that the material could be sculpted, then kiln-fired to burn off the binder, leaving only bronze behind.
